About Us

Who We Are

The Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington began as a mission in January, 1995 with eight people. By April, 1995, God had blessed the church with 40 members, and the congregation chartered as an independent Baptist church on April 30, 1995. Pastor Kelly McInerney is the founder and pastor of BBC.

Since that time, the Lord has sent steady, consistent growth to the church, and today, Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington is the largest church in Clinton County history, with a Sunday morning attendance of over 900. After out-growing two downtown storefront locations, the church moved into the historic Murphy Theater for its services. After four years in the theater, the church moved into its current facility on 10 acres west of Wilmington in the spring of 2001. A second phase was added in 2004, and the church presently has 32 acres of land for its campus. The third phase of the church, a 1,200 seat worship auditorium, was completed in April of 2011.

In addition to making a great impact in Wilmington, BBC has started churches in Springfield, Chillicothe, Marysville, Greenville, and Amelia, OH.
